About us
Since 2015, the public union "All-Ukrainian Union of the Disabled of Chernobyl" (hereinafter GS "VSYCH") has been engaged in social, legal protection and volunteer assistance to persons with disabilities, children evacuated from the exclusion zone, liquidation participants and victims of the Chernobyl disaster.
The total number of Chernobyl residents of all categories registered in the social welfare departments of the population of Ukraine is 1,743,803 people.
97% of these citizens, due to their age, medical illnesses, and physical incapacity, constantly need help and support from the state. The government of Ukraine, for obvious reasons, is unable to take care of everyone today.
GS "VSYCH", by virtue of its capabilities, performs, including, state functions.
In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, the All-Ukrainian Headquarters of the GS "VSYCH" was created to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease, actively engaged in educational work among the population regarding the need for vaccinations, closely interacting with the All-Ukrainian Government Headquarters and headquarters in the regions of Ukraine.
The union provides comprehensive targeted assistance to children, persons with disabilities, victims of the Chernobyl disaster, and widows.
GS "VSYCH" has All-Ukrainian status, separate divisions are located in all regions of Ukraine.
Due to the temporarily unavailable medical examination and treatment, especially in the occupied territories, union members suffer from the inability to receive elementary medical, financial and humanitarian assistance in a timely manner.
Currently, GS "VSYCH" directs efforts to purchase expensive foreign-made medicines, joint endoprosthesis products, cardiac stents and consumables for coronatriculography (introducer, puncture needle, high-pressure cylinder, disinfectants, etc.), replacement of the retina, drugs for conducting chemotherapy and treatment of oncological diseases, devices for measuring pressure, oxygen in the blood, etc.
Another area of work is humanitarian assistance to victims of the Chernobyl disaster.
